The Brand

Infamous Originals was built out of a simple goal finding the right collar for the right dog. That meant working with both leather and Biothane, pushing each material until it proved itself where it matters.

The name Infamous Originals comes from the idea that no piece should feel generic. Every collar, every build, should stand on its own original, worn in, and earned over time.

Our products were proven the hard way, over years in a working dog training kennel. General obedience, behaviour rehabilitation, rescue dogs and aggression cases that required gear you could trust without question. Through that work, alongside professional trainers, owners, and hundreds of dogs of every size and temperament, we refined what we make: gear that holds up, performs, and doesn’t fail when it counts.

Looking ahead, Infamous Originals is expanding beyond the kennel. We’re moving deeper into leather building belts, bags, and wallets with the same philosophy. At the same time, we continue to push our custom work, from western floral tooling to geometric and pictorial carving, blending traditional craftsmanship with a modern edge.

Everything we make is built to be used, broken in, and carried forward.

The Owner and Maker

Dixon

I’ve been a lot of things over the years a chef, a soldier, a dog trainer, a pet therapy handler, and a tradesman working across maintenance, landscaping, and industrial scaffolding. Today, I’m an electrical apprentice in the commercial sector.

But through all of it, one thing has never changed I’ve always built things.

I started in woodworking, following the path my grandparents laid out, then moved through different mediums until I found leather. It brought everything together drawing, carving, and design all in one craft.

It began with my original partner, my dog, Daphne. I found a limited-run leather collar for her purple, gem-studded, and matching her personality exactly. It was something I couldn’t find anywhere else, and it stuck with me. That idea that gear could be personal, intentional, and one of a kind is what pushed me further.

From there, I dove into leathercraft. Learning from makers and artists, studying the craft, and pushing what leather could become not just functional, but unique.

Now, every piece I make is built with that same mindset: the right tool for the job, made with purpose. Because a specific task deserves a specific tool and it should be made right the first time.

The Models

Sugar

Sugar is a six year old Yellow Labrador Retriever from working hunting lines bred for the field and built to go all in. She brings drive, focus, and the kind of tenacity that shows up in everything she does.

She currently competes in Dock Diving and Rally Obedience, with plans to step into Scent Hurdling. Outside of competition, she trains in Sporting Scent Detection and will retrieve just about anything you throw.

True to her name, Sugar balances both sides sweet, approachable, and easygoing, but with a sharp working edge and a quick mind that’s always ready to learn.

Renegade

Renegade is a two-year-old Black Flat-Coated Retriever equal parts goofy and driven. Around people, he’s all affection and personality, but when it’s time to train, he’s eager and ready to learn.

“Ren” is currently competing in Rally Obedience and training across multiple disciplines, including Sporting Scent Detection, Scent Hurdling, and Dock Diving.

He thrives on interaction whether that’s training, playing with other dogs, or meeting new people.
